This may have a come up before, but has anyone seen Revolution ’67, the POV documentary on the 1967 riots in Newark? Another group screening perhaps?
I saw the documentary when it was originally aired. As I remember it—and I must admit to having only impressions and not a detailed recollection—the program had some serious presentational flaws involving arbirary use of visual evidence. Tht may mke it a good candidate, though, for a group screning. Certainly, the subject of rioting, not to mention race and racism in the North in the 1960s, both of which have been largely avoided in PBS documentaries, merits our attention.
