This came via the Profession Staff Congress. It’s by Robert Reich, in the LA Times and looks back at the role of unions in a bad economy. Great to have this conversation going.

It’s always upsetting to hear that intimidation has been a factor in preventing the formation of unions. I find that the most distressing part of this article- to think, that perhaps the need to maintain jobs and avoid a hostile work environment- would be union organizers have had to sit back in order to protect their families.

Either way, I agree it’s an interesting dialog to have going.
